ADMISSION

The Center for Intercultural and International Programs (CIIP) works with the Undergraduate and Graduate Offices of Admission to provide assistance to prospective international students planning to study at Xavier University. 

The Offices of Admission collects all the required application documents, makes admissions decisions, evaluates foreign transcripts, issues immigration documents and sends out acceptance packages. International Students study on the F-1 Student Visa at 日本一级片. Ms. Karen Lee (kwlee@xula.edu), the Associate Director of CIIP is the Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) for the F-1 Student Visa Program and is the primary contact once international students arrive on campus.  In addition, CIIP and the Office of Admission also work together to develop and coordinate marketing, advertising and recruitment activities with the goal of attracting more international students to the university. If you are an international student currently on a student visa looking to transfer to Xavier University or you have taken college courses in your home country and are looking to transfer to Xavier University, Admissions will guide you through the transfer in process with ease. COLLEGE OF PHARMACY

If you are a Transfer International student interested in Pharmacy, our College of Pharmacy has an admissions department that will ensure you understand the admissions requirements specific to the Pharmacy program. Please contact Pharmacy Admissions for more information.

Non-U.S citizens who do not have a “Green Card” or “Naturalized Citizenship” must include their foreign home address on the Application for Admission.

Transfer Applicants who have attended another U.S. college/university the semester prior to entering 日本一级片 must complete and submit the Transfer-In” form before a SEVIS I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility) will be issued.

Official transcripts from each post-secondary school attended. If an applicant has had previous college work outside the United States, the applicant must have his/her records evaluated by a U.S. foreign credential evaluation service. You must request a Course-by-Course evaluation of your transcript. Listed below are our recommended agencies:

  •  If not currently enrolled in college, submit a resume or statement of activities 
  • High School Transcript if less than 20 credit hours of college work has been completed 
  • TOEFL or IELTS Scores (Non-English speaking natives are required to submit) Required Minimum Scores: TOEFL: Paper – 550 Internet-Based – 80 IELTS: 7.0 
  • Xavier University Certificate of Financial Support, a notarized form is, indicates who will pay the cost of attendance.

Graduate Program requirements

  •  A bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited college or university with an overall GPA of 2.5
    • GPA requirements can vary. Please consult your program.
  • Minimum Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores of 280 or Miller Analogies Test (MAT) scores of 380 for Education and Counseling applicants; GRE or MAT scores for Theology applicants; GRE or MCAT scores for Public Health applicants; GRE scores for Speech Pathology applicants;
  • Passing scores from Praxis I and Praxis II (content exam) for Teaching Applicants
    • Praxis 1 may be waived if: Applicants have completed a Master’s degree or higher or earned an ACT composite score of 22 or a SAT combined verbal and math score of 1030
  • A statement of interest is required for Education, Counseling, Public Health, and Speech Pathology applicants
  • Two letters of reference for Education and Counseling applicants; Two letters of reference from professors and one ministerial letter from a pastor or pastoral staff person for Theology applicants; Three letters of reference are required for Public Health and Speech Pathology applicants

  • For first-time freshmen applicants:
  • TOEFL or IELTS Scores (Non-English speaking natives are required to submit) Required Minimum Scores: TOEFL: Paper – 550 Internet-Based – 80 IELTS: 7.0
  • Additionally, if educated in a non-English speaking secondary school, you must submit a Course-by-Course evaluation of your secondary school work evaluated by a U.S. foreign credential evaluation service. (See recommended services in the Transfer applicants section.) 
  • For Transfer applicants:
  • TOEFL or IELTS Scores (Non-English speaking natives are required to submit) Required Minimum Scores: TOEFL: Paper – 550 Internet-Based – 80 IELTS: 7.0 
  • High School Transcript if less than 20 credit hours of college work has been completed.
  • 20 transferable credit hours of college work.
